Michael worked as a participation and communities manager for a borough council in London. In this role, he managed a team that runs participative funding schemes and worked on designing an improved volunteering system. Previously, he helped to coordinate a community-led response to COVID-19 for over 2,000 residents. Outside of work, Michael volunteered for a charity that seeks to build a more environmentally sustainable culture in football, as part of a service design course. He graduated from the University of Warwick, where he led the history society, co-hosted a radio show, and oversaw student elections. Michael entered the Master of Public Policy program at McGill.
