Fajr majored in communications and political science, and graduated in December 2023. He co-led the University of Ottawa Outdoors Club, contributed to the WUSC refugee support club, and co-led a movement to encourage the university to divest from the fossil fuel industry. He also served as vice-president, communications of the Amnesty International uOttawa chapter. Previously, Fajr spent five years in Germany, where he volunteered as a translator and worked several jobs, including one as assistant manager of a bakery. He is working on a project exploring the potential impact of e-democracy tools. Fajr will pursue a master’s degree in political science at McGill.
