Amanda Sears graduated in 2020 with a bachelor of arts in political science and philosophy from York. She worked part-time throughout her studies as a barista, a server and a research assistant for two York professors. She is now working in Montréal and will pursue a master’s degree in bioethics.

The McCall MacBain Scholarship is a full graduate scholarship that provides students with the mentorship, interdisciplinary learning, and global community they need to accelerate their impact on the world.
McCall MacBain Scholarships at McGill is situated on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabeg nations.
