As an International Studies student at York University Glendon, Anmol joined her university’s Research Apprenticeship Program and served as its student ambassador. She helped organize and facilitate workshops, orientations, and training sessions for 50 undergraduate research students. Anmol also volunteered with a non-profit organization, where she coordinated and conducted research for a documentary project about racialized incarcerated individuals, and started a province-wide initiative to advocate for better COVID-19 reopening policies for hair salon owners. Previously, she led a camp for youth in high-risk communities in Toronto. Anmol worked part-time as a research assistant, examining the protection of women and children’s rights. She began her studies in law at McGill to advocate for vulnerable populations.

“I have dreamed of attending law school since I was 15 years old, and with the assistance of this scholarship, I have been given the opportunity to fulfill that aspiration in an incredibly encouraging, stimulating, and positive environment. As someone who often worried about how I would be able to afford law school, this feels incredible.”
