Emma is a criminology student at the University of Alberta. She serves as vice-president of an organization offering restorative alternatives to youth in the justice system and runs a support group for teenagers with cancer. Emma also contributed to 2SLGBTQ+ events, competed in moot competitions, and assisted with research on the outcomes of cases where excessive police force is suspected. She spent several summers working as a camp leader, and last summer led a youth outreach project for a provincial crime prevention association. Emma plans to study law at McGill.
