Second Lieutenant Nancy Ren joined the Canadian Armed Forces and was enrolled at the Royal Military College of Canada in Kingston, where she pursued a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. She was in training to become a Logistics Officer and was a member of the varsity swim team.
One of Nancy’s leadership experiences was serving as the Cadet Squadron Administrative Officer for 70 personnel. In this role, she helped transition all members from a paper-based to a digital administration system. Nancy also served as president of a Toastmasters club and helped establish a mentorship program for club members. She previously served as team captain for a marksmanship team during a national competition.
Nancy is pursuing a Master of Science in Public Health (Non-Thesis) degree at McGill. She spent summer of 2024 working as a research assistant and would eventually like to contribute to health policy-making as a public servant.
