Evans recently graduated from Ashesi University with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science as a Mastercard Foundation Scholar.

During his studies, Evans founded and led the Ashesi AI club to explore the potential of artificial intelligence in addressing African challenges. He co-founded and served as chief financial officer of a scholarship platform, connecting youth to information on educational resources, and founded Hopscof Inc., a non-profit that trains high school graduates in information technology. Evans co-led the Google Developers Club, mentoring peers in mobile app development. He also worked with the Career Services Department and supported students as a resident assistant for three years. In 2023, he developed an AI-powered sign language learning platform.

For his bachelor’s thesis, Evans designed a neural network and an IoT-based system for early detection of lung disease in low-resource settings. He will start a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering at McGill.
