Meet the 2026 Cohort of McCall MacBain Scholars

Nineteen Canadians and 11 international students will receive Canada’s largest leadership-based scholarship for master’s and professional studies, forming the sixth cohort of McCall MacBain Scholars at McGill. Established with a historic $200-million gift in 2019, the scholarship covers tuition and fees, living expenses, mentorship, coaching, and a leadership program.

To recognize additional talent, the McCall MacBain Scholarships and McGill University also offered 127 entrance awards ranging from $5,000 to $40,000 each to top candidates who were not selected for the cohort. Altogether, this year’s scholarships represent an estimated commitment of more than $3 million in tuition and living costs alone, which will be complemented by mentorship and leadership development programming.
