Jayden is completing an Honours Specialization in Political Science at Huron University, the founding institution of Western University.

Jayden is president of the Huron University Student Council, managing about 100 employees across five portfolios. In this role, she secured a seat for students in long-term academic planning. In previous years, Jayden served as vice-president, student affairs and equity associate for the council. She has also worked as a residence don, coordinated communications for a high school conference, and served as a student senator and delegate to the Ontario University Student Alliance.

Jayden’s interest in applying to master’s programs is grounded in the desire to understand state violence and how liberal democracies manage legitimacy crises. She recently co-authored a knowledge synthesis of Black Canadian activism. As a McCall MacBain Scholar, Jayden will pursue a Master of Arts in Political Science at McGill.
