Amarachi Onuorah is the Scholars Program Officer for the McCall MacBain Scholarships at McGill. In this role, she supports the ongoing development and implementation of programming for scholars.
Amarachi has a background in student services and international education and has previously worked with the Career, Advising, and Transitions Services (CATS) at McGill University as a Program Assistant. She also volunteered with the MasterCard Foundation as an International Student Support Coordinator, where she helped facilitate the integration and adjustment of the new cohort of international students. She is passionate about quality and accessible education and has actively led and coordinated projects in pursuit of this cause.
Amarachi is a Mastercard Foundation Scholar (‘21), and she holds an M.A. in Educational Leadership from McGill University, and a B.A. in Linguistics from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
The McCall MacBain Scholarship is a full graduate scholarship that provides students with the mentorship, interdisciplinary learning, and global community they need to accelerate their impact on the world.
McCall MacBain Scholarships at McGill is situated on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabeg nations.
