André-Yanne Parent

André-Yanne Parent is a mobilization and climate change expert, with 15 years of experience working with regional, national & international development organizations. Dedicated to empowering people to be catalysts of change in their communities, André-Yanne joined the McCall MacBain Scholarships at McGill team in April 2024 as Director of Leadership Development, curating the Leading with Purpose curriculum for the scholars and alumni.

André-Yanne was previously Climate Reality Project Canada’s Executive Director for over five years. The Canadian branch of the international organization, founded by Al Gore, tripled in size, outreach, and impact under her leadership. CRPC was one of 2022 Canada’s Clean50 Top Projects awardees for its citizen-led and data-driven yearly project: The National Climate League Standings.

André-Yanne holds a Master of Arts in Anthropology from the Université de Montréal. She created and taught a course entitled “Climate Change & Justice” at the Faculty of Continuing Education of the Université de Montréal. She has served on the board of the Greater Montreal Climate Fund, the Emerging Committee for Quebec’s Green Economy Plan, the Climate Plan Advisory Committee of Montreal’s Mayor, and the Canadian Environment Domestic Advisory Group (CEDAG). She was honoured to be selected in La Presse’s Top 30 Under 30.
