Firuza completed dual degrees in politics, philosophy, and economics at Western University and business administration at the Ivey School of Business. She hosted a radio show and led two student initiatives - one about ethical technology and the other about economic "degrowth". She also worked part-time as a digital marketing strategist. Previously, Firuza co-led the Ivey Social Impact Club, which runs dozens of events for over 200 members. She also worked on a business fundamentals curriculum for young entrepreneurs in emerging economies and researched Indigenous inclusion in Canadian financial markets. Firuza is pursueing a master's degree in digital humanities at McGill.
