Jordyn studied neuroscience and mental health at Carleton University. She dedicated her time to the science community by mentoring students through the Science Student Success Centre, helping run the Science Student Society, and contributed to other groups within the Faculty of Science. Jordyn also organized a provincial conference for science student leaders and a five-week orientation program for new students. She participated in the artistic swimming team and has held several jobs. Jordyn started a master's degree in epidemiology at McGill.
