Selen is a neuroscience student at McGill University, conducting research on the head direction system. She works part-time for Let's Talk Science McGill, a science outreach program, after several years of volunteering and being named volunteer of the year. Selen also leads the pre-medical society, through which she helped start a bursary for students, and contributed to a neurotechnology student team. She created the prototype of a seizure prediction and detection application through a summer program and is now working to expand its impact and development through another innovation hub. Selen will study medicine at McGill.
