Since opening in 2022, the McCall MacBain House has been a home for learning, collaboration, and community. It’s where scholars gather for leadership sessions, study together, and exchange ideas for positive change.
As we welcome 30 new McCall MacBain Scholars each year, with most pursuing multiple-year degrees, our community has 60 to 75 aspiring community leaders who call the McCall MacBain House their base while at McGill.
During this year’s inaugural alumni reunion, we celebrated not only the significance of this growing community but also the opening of the third floor of the House. The new floor includes meeting rooms equipped for hybrid work, videoconferencing booths, a kitchen, and a main lounge that can comfortably hold 120 people. Designed for collaboration, connection, and creativity, the space is a home for scholars during their time at McGill University.

The opening of the third floor was also marked by an artistic performance on endurance. For over two and a half uninterrupted hours, Carali McCall drew a continuous circular form, reminding alumni of the resilience, focus, and uncertainty that shape every meaningful journey. “We often know where we start, but not where we will end,” she shared, reminiscent of the circular logo of the McCall MacBain Scholarships at McGill.

As we welcome our sixth cohort, we are excited to open this new space to them and to the ideas, conversations, and community moments that will unfold within it.
