Brik recently graduated from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú with a bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, for which he received a full merit scholarship.

Brik has co-founded two companies: an AI/web consultancy and a robotics lab. He previously worked as an AI research engineer at a health technology research institute, leading projects in healthcare, including a nutrition chatbot, faster clinic notes, and an AI pneumonia report writer. During his studies, Brik tele-volunteered in nutrition, providing guidance to mothers in migrant and refugee families, and served as a peer guide mentor at his university. He also co-founded a tutoring initiative to help his peers with their studies.

Brik will pursue a Master of Science in Computer Science at McGill, with a focus on AI and robotics. His long-term goal is to develop affordable home robots.
