Chanel graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor of Arts and Science, majoring in Environment. She dedicates much of her time volunteering to food security causes, including delivering weekly groceries to low-income seniors and participating in the Food Secure Canada Youth Caucus. This summer, she is pursuing a food systems research internship. During her undergraduate studies, Chanel helped launch a COVID-19 relief initiative serving 30-50 families weekly as well as its gradual phase-out. She also led a team that created a platform connecting food bank clients to complementary services, contributed to the Divest McGill campaign, and worked part-time. After graduation, Chanel worked as a Program Coordinator at Regroupement Partage, a non-profit organization in Montreal, coordinating the distribution of 100+ tonnes of vegetables to community organizations across the city. She also served on the board of L'aube, pôle nourricier, an agri-food non-profit in Montreal's West Island. Chanel will enter the BCL/JD, Law program at McGill. She plans to specialize in agro-environmental law.
