Daria studied Software Engineering at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (NaUKMA) in Ukraine and Computer Engineering at Politecnico di Torino in Italy, where she is an active member of the Collegio Einaudi residences. Inspired by a high school exchange experience, Daria began her volunteer journey by managing events raising awareness of HIV, youth rights, and sex education at schools and festivals. While studying at NaUKMA, she developed an online course on eco-ethical sex education for university students and volunteered as an information technology mentor for middle school students. Daria also facilitated a period poverty discussion at the IASAS Student Leader Global Summit in 2023. Daria's bachelor thesis focused on developing an algorithm to assess the accessibility of mobile applications, and she aspires to create accessibility tools using machine learning. She has been admitted to the Master of Science, Computer Science (Non-Thesis) program at McGill to continue her research in this area.
