Ellie is majoring in Biology at the University of Waterloo as a MacBain Niagara Falls Scholar, the recipient of an undergraduate scholarship for students from John McCall MacBain’s hometown.

Ellie, a clarinetist, has served as president of the University of Waterloo Concert Band Club for four terms. She also leads the Biology student ambassador team for the Faculty of Science and volunteers with the Niagara Dog Rescue.

Passionate about the environment, Ellie has worked in wildlife rehabilitation, wetlands soil research, and community training. She will pursue a Master of Science in Microbiology and Immunology (Thesis) at McGill to continue her research in these fields.
