A student at York University, Nebiyou is completing an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Global Political Studies as well as a certificate in Public Administration and Law.

Inspired by his experiences growing up in Ethiopia and Yemen, Nebiyou founded and leads three non-profit initiatives to mentor young men, support essential resources to youth in need, and share uplifting, community-driven stories. He also serves on the TELUS Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area Community Board, where he reviews grant applications for charities.

In addition, Nebiyou sits on the Global Youth Impact Council, representing young Canadian voices. He also serves as a York University President’s Ambassador and Student Senator, and mentors fellow students.

Nebiyou will be pursuing a Master of Management in Analytics at McGill University.
