Sage worked at a Metro grocery store, where he supervised 120 employees as assistant general manager and acted as a community ambassador. As a political science student at Concordia University, he led the Garnet Key Society and helped shift its focus to student projects and fundraising for social causes. The student society doubled its membership applications. Sage also worked to integrate equity, diversity, and inclusion into the society’s policies and activities. Sage volunteered with a political association in his district and served as deputy leader for the Parlement jeunesse du Québec, a youth parliament simulation. He worked at a research centre at Concordia. As a McCall MacBain Scholar, he entered law school at McGill.
